Yes, we love our animal friends! We Are ME Cosmetics is proudly Leaping Bunny certified and our products are 100% vegan.

Who owns We Are ME Cosmetics?

We Are ME Cosmetics is a privately held, self-funded, woman-owned & Hispanic-owned indie beauty brand proudly located in Houston, TX.

Will my purchase support social impact causes?

Our founder, Camille Barreto, is a fierce advocate in the fight against human trafficking. In support of these efforts, a portion of profits from the sale of We Are ME Cosmetics products - including 100% of the profits from A Gentle Touch™ Microfiber Towel - are directed to certified 501(c)(3) organizations dedicated to eradicating human trafficking.

What are your environmental & ethical standards?

Our brand is proud of our continued commitment to environmental responsibility, the use of ethically sourced ingredients, and the protection of our animal friends. Our compacts are made of 85% post-consumer recycled (PCR) resin which is well above the industry standard. We work exclusively with packaging partners that have obtained Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) Chain of Custody certification from the Rainforest Alliance. While our packaging may not be as sparkly as others, this is a result of our commitment to use fully recyclable materials that are derived from 100% post-consumer recycled fiber* (100% PCW). Our packaging partners also purchase 100% of their energy in the form of renewable wind energy from Community Energy, Inc. (CEI), and are proud to be early adopters of zero waste to landfill status. Are your products clean?

Absolutely! We Are ME Cosmetics uses only good-for-you and skin/hair-loving ingredients without compromising on performance. Our formulation standards adhere to both the The Credo Clean Standard™ and Clean at Sephora® guidelines.

I have never heard of Scalp FoundationTM. What exactly is it?

Great question! Our Can’t Stop Me Now™ Scalp Foundation is truly innovative and establishes an entirely new cosmetic category. It is a game-changing luxury cosmetic concealer that gives the appearance of more abundant hair for that extra boost of confidence.

The Scalp Foundation™ also been named the 2023 Best Color Touchup by Good Housekeepingfor its powerful ability to quickly cover grays.

What color shade should I order?

The product photography on our website, particularly the color swatches that compare the shades side by side, are a useful guide for shade selection. We recommend matching the shade to the desired color of your roots and if you are in between shades, a darker shade generally gives the most natural effect. While our reflective shades are quite forgiving and can be used with a variety of similar hair shades, please take advantage of our generous exchange policy** to help you achieve a perfect match. **Our shade matching / exchange policy is only valid for the first order placed.

How do I apply Scalp FoundationTM?

See detailed application directions below. For optimal results, we recommend applying Can’t Stop Me Now™ with our Anything Can Happen™ Luxury Foundation Brush to give the appearance of more abundant looking hair, and our Take A Brow™ Precision Eyebrow Brush for fuller looking brows.

We suggest placing Scalp Foundation on a hand towel during application and applying Scalp Foundation prior to applying your makeup, until you have mastered your favorite application techniques! A Gentle Touch Microfiber Towel is also perfect for quick touch-ups of any fall out … simply wet the towel and gently wipe away any excess foundation.

Directions: Hair should be dry before applying Can’t Stop Me Now™ scalp foundation. Lay the microfiber towel on your counter and place the open compact on top of the towel. Part your hair at the center. Swirl the foundation brush one or two times in the scalp foundation. Orient the brush so that the long bristles are facing toward the hairline. The longer bristles will pick up and deposit less product, thus ensuring a flawless, natural looking hairline. The scalp foundation should be applied using a stippling/dabbing motion, while moving along the part from front to back. We recommend beginning about one inch behind the hairline and working your way back along the part while continuously stippling/dabbing.

After completing application along the part, use the remaining foundation already on the brush to fill in the hairline. It is recommended to apply the scalp foundation sparingly along the hairline to ensure a natural, flawless finish. Apply additional scalp foundation to the brush as needed throughout application in order to achieve the desired coverage. Swipe the scalp foundation from the root to approximately one inch down along the hair on both sides of the part in order to seamlessly blend the rich color with your natural hair color. Apply additional scalp foundation to the brush as needed in order to achieve the desired coverage. (When covering white/silver roots, repeat the previous steps using additional scalp foundation while applying slightly more pressure as you swipe the brush along the hair until desired coverage is achieved.)

Part your hair approximately one or two inches away from the center and repeat the application steps along the part. Continue parting the hair one or two inches apart and applying scalp foundation until you have applied the scalp foundation to the entirety of your crown area. Style your hair as desired. If needed, apply additional foundation as needed to achieve the desired coverage. If you experience any fall out onto your forehead, wet a small section of A Gentle Touch Microfiber Towel and gently swipe away any excess product. Store the brush and foundation wrapped in the microfiber towel.

Can I brush and style my hair with Scalp FoundationTM?

Scalp Foundation™ is intended to apply to dry skin and hair, and was designed with the staying power to withstand reasonable brushing and usual styling.

How long does Scalp FoundationTM stay on my skin and hair?

Our Scalp Foundation™ has tremendous staying power and is designed to accompany you throughout many activities. Caught in the rain? Dip in the pool? Sweating at the gym? You can be confident that our Scalp Foundation™ will stay in place with you throughout the day if not physically rubbed off or shampooed out. To remove our Scalp Foundation™, simply shampoo and it will rinse right out. We recommend 1-2 washes, depending on the type of shampoo being used. 

While we think it could well be up for the task, we haven’t had the opportunity to try the longevity of our Scalp Foundation™ in the most challenging situations such as, but not limited to, sea-water diving, swimming competitions, windsurfing, etc. If you’ve given it a go, we would love to hear about your experience at info@mecosmetics.com!

Can I sleep with Scalp FoundationTM?

This is purely a matter of personal preference! Just as with any makeup, there may be some color transfer onto pillowcases which is easily managed by using a dark pillowcase. Our founder, Camille, regularly sleeps with her Scalp Foundation™ and recommends the luxurious feel of black, silk/satin pillowcases.

How do I remove Scalp FoundationTM?

To remove our Scalp Foundation™, simply wash your hair with shampoo and it will easily rinse out. We recommend 1-2 washes, depending on the type of shampoo being used and the vigor with which you like to massage your shampooed scalp.

Are there any other uses for Scalp FoundationTM?

Yes! This powerhouse product is fabulous for filling in eyebrows and covering light-colored roots. For optimal results we recommend using the Take A Brow™ Precision Eyebrow Brush to fill in eyebrows and the Anything Can Happen™ Luxury Foundation Brush for touching up light-colored roots.

Does Scalp FoundationTM help to grow hair or reduce hair loss?

No. Our products are intended for cosmetic use only per FDA regulations. Please consult your medical doctor for proper evaluation and treatment of hair loss concerns.

Where can I purchase The Scalp Foundation™?

Our collection is available exclusively on our website for shipment to the USA and Canada.

We ship to Canada with different sales terms & conditions. When shipping to Canada, all sales are final and products are both non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Customer assumes responsibility for customs requirements and payment of import duties. Normal fulfillment times apply though shipping times will vary depending on carrier guidelines.

In which country are We Are ME Cosmetics products available?

We are currently distributed in, and ship within, the USA.

We also ship to Canada with different sales terms & conditions. When shipping to Canada, all sales are final and products are both non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Customer assumes responsibility for customs requirements and payment of import duties. Normal fulfillment times apply though shipping times will vary depending on carrier guidelines.

How much will shipping cost?

FOR ORDERS TO THE USA:

We offer flat rate shipping of $5 across the contiguous US and its overseas terriroties (excluding Puerto Rico and Alaska) for orders $70 or less (excluding applicable taxes).

Orders over $70 receive free shipping to destinations in the contiguous US and its overseas territories (exc. PR and AK)

Shipping rates to non-contiguous states may vary depending on carrier costs.

FOR ORDERS TO CANADA:

Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on carrier costs. Kindly note that products are shipped to Canada "Deliver Duty Unpaid" and customers assume responsibility for customs requirements and payment of import duties, if applicable.

How long will my package take to arrive?

Please allow 3 days (excluding weekends and federal holidays) for your order to be processed for shipping. However, our team makes every effort to fulfill orders as quickly as possible and expedited orders are generally processed the same day.

Shipping times vary depending on destination address and the type of carrier service selected. Domestic orders may vary between 1-8 business days depending on the carrier, and Canadian orders may vary between 7-21 days depending on Canada Customs and Canada Post.

We make every effort to prioritize the fulfillment of orders with Next Day Air, fulfillment may take up to two business days prior to shipment. But we will do our very best to fulfill priority orders as quickly as possible!

What is your return policy?

What is your return policy?

You can return eligible items (please read entire section below for complete details) by mail within 15 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product cost minus shipping and restocking costs associated with the return.

Please note four important items:

1)All tools (brushes and towels) are not eligible for return;

2) If the scalp foundation was purchased as part of a bundle then the prorated amount of the foundation will be refunded net of restocking fees and shipping fees;

3) If more than one foundation (either two or more of the same shade or two or more shades) are ordered within a 30 day period, the order(s) is rendered ineligible for return. If multiple shades are ordered during this 30-day period, the shades that are not a good match may be exchanged for the correct shade but they are not eligible for return nor refund;

4)Items eligible for return include new/unopened and gently used scalp foundation. Excessively used scalp foundation are not eligible for return.

After contacting us at info@mecosmetics.com with your order number (or name and address), we will provide return instructions.

Refunds will be credited to the original credit card used for payment (minus applicable original order shipping/restocking fees).

Shade Matching Program

FOR ORDERS WITHIN THE USA:

When placing your first order, you may request the exchange of one Can’t Stop Me Now™ Ultimate Coverage Scalp Foundation™ for another color shade by mail within 15 days of the delivery date for your order, as marked by the carrier.

After contacting us at info@mecosmetics.com with your order number (or name and address) and desired replacement shade, we will provide detailed exchange instructions.

IMPORTANT:

Items eligible for exchange:

One (1) Unopened or gently used Can’t Stop Me Now™ Ultimate Coverage Scalp Foundation™. Our shade matching / exchange policy is only valid for the first order placed.

Items not eligible for exchange:

(1) Excessively used Scalp Foundation is not eligible for exchange;

(2) If more than one foundation of the same shade was ordered in the same order or within a 30 day period, the order(s) are ineligible for return/refund;

(3) If more than one foundation of the same shade was ordered within a 30 day period, the shades that are not a good match are not eligible for return/refund. However, we are happy to exchange this shade for the correct shade;

(4) Tools, including all brushes and towels, are not eligible for exchange unless defective.

We ship to Canada with different sales terms & conditions.

When shipping to Canada, all sales are final and products are both non-refundable, non-exchangeable - and due to high shipping costs - are not eligible for our shade matching program.

Can I cancel my order?

Orders may be cancelled up to 30min after the order has been placed. After this time frame, we will do our best to arrange for cancellation but if the order has already been fulfilled then we are unable to cancel it.

Do you offer price adjustments?

As a small brand we do not offer price adjustments at this time. We do offer attractive bundle pricing, however! We truly appreciate your understanding and invite you to subscribe to our email list to stay up to date on promotional offers.
